SCAWWY 😱 caelus

Daffodils symbolize rebirth, new beginnings, hope, joy, and good luck. Much of this symbolism arises from the fact that daffodils emerge each spring to light up barren landscapes with their cheerful yellow, orange, and white flowers. The bulb, leaf, and flower are used to make medicine. Despite serious safety concerns, people take daffodil for whooping cough, colds, and asthma. They also take it to cause vomiting.

[ catch the man, the myth, the legend, the trailblazer himself, in the mortuary, opening and closing the coffins rapidly as if that will help him uncover the secret scratcher.

caelus wears his favored clothing, recovered from the swamp boxes. ]

[ caelus sits at a bench by the pyre, a leg drawn to his chest, the other off the edge, heel against the ground. he's turned in order to stare down the fire. somber as he hasn't been since their group arrival. ]

[ at the funky fashionista, putting on as many chunky necklaces as his neck and shoulders can carry to see if layering should become his new thing.

will wave as soon as he sees their village king. ]

Hey, Alfyn. What do you think? My comfort max is three but I've had on up to twenty-one.

[ the thing about alfyn is that he's just. he's a soft boy. a bleeding heart, in touch with his emotions and who he is. so having his friends appearing to him as figments of laughter and smiles, but cutting words, really does not do great things to him when he misses them so much.

all this time apart - the longest they've been away from one another in all the months they've known each other - is weighing on him, even if he acts like it doesn't.

so he's going to take a break from the revelry when this effect kicks in, making his way to one of the empty houses for refuge. but when he sees caelus there, he pauses, his eyes wet but tears unshed. ]

[ what's that? caelus already was all over alfyn upon his scary cyoa return but is back for more? that's right!!! where are you holing up, buster? a villager house? he's here with his candy bucket and concern ]

[ hello alfyn, caelus is outside the gas station, half-inside the trash can.

the lid has been politely set aside as he roots around, seeking who knows what. treasure. a fortune all his own.

he lifts his head and starts to smile, starts to greet the other, but then darkness intercepts and they're whisked away to a land of snow somewhere across the universe.

cocolia has fallen to a stellaron.

it might be a trip, following along as caelus races and climbs and leaps upon that ancient machine. time and again, he's about to lose his grip or fail to make a landing, but one of his companions has his back. so, he can't fail them.

he doesn't know why he's able to follow his own will and not the voice of the stellaron inside him. it's not fair that cocolia couldn't ward off its false promises, that she now battles on behalf of the end of her world.

she kills him. tries to, anyway. awakens, instead, a sense of preservation. caelus' end has been foretold. this isn't it.

this concludes in a daughter losing her mother, a feeling caelus will never quite understand. it hurts, anyway. bronya doesn't deserve to suffer.

they return to scawwy, the present, their individual minds and memories. caelus burns inside. he picks up the trashcan lid and sets it back in place. ]

[ he sits in his horse stall, holding a recently bitten into peach. his legs are spread out, one knee half-propped so he can put his hand on it. he stares at the middle distance.

they are breaking your boy, alfyn ]

[ caelus can be found in the burgoswald wood. for a time he was training on his own--several of the trees now have scuffed bark in patches he parkoured off of. this eventually attracted the attention of green, uncomfortably large spiders.

those are now getting the ol' bat-bash treatment. ]

[ hi caelus, alfyn's not doing so good once! again! are you ready for another round of hug and cry? because that's kind of the state we're in, here, as he sits at the pyre and just stares at the posters. this is someone that's unafraid of being emotionally vulnerable so alpha week does not stop him from openly crying, bitter and unhappy tears as he sits there. ]

alfyn walks right up to the gay baby jail and just. looks. at caelus for a long time. sort of trying to look for the signs that caelus is still there, eyes scanning through the veil that's created by the prison he'll be in for the next twelve or so hours. ]

... what happened? Why Marina? Why like that?

[ caelus may be found staring at the largely abandoned barn. he hasn't gone inside or anything. not sure if he could move the door or if he'd have to walk through it and either option isn't all that appealing. ]

[ his gaze swings slightly when he sees movement out of the corner of his eye ]

[ they're in the icecream parlor-nee-pharmacy. that's a place off of the food court.

he points at the area behind the actual counter. where an employee should stand. ]

... Kind of wish he'd respawn right now.

[ perhaps it's weird that he's back in the graveyard--or maybe not. but doesn't it make sense they all have one last jamba juice? caelus mixes his own. some of every fruit. a frenzy. ]
