[ we are in the church currently, and alfyn stands squinting at the runes when not occasionally warily squinting at the stain glass. but he still tries to see if there's anything familiar about the writing, or this place overall. it's not like any church he's seen before, after all...

and then the phantom bell gongs above them, and he jumps, swearing. ]

Gods! What the hell!? [ clutches his heart like the old man meme ] Is there somebody up there?

[ well happy national fucking leech day, i guess todomatsu's ready to get torched. this is, unfortunately, far from the worst thing that's ever physically happened to him, but trauma-wise, it's pretty far up there!!!!

once alfyn is looking at him up close, he'll see some of that inky writing in a couple of spots on his back, maybe mildly obscured by leeches: the dark, and being alone at night, and being humiliated. (and dying a virgin again, but let's ignore that one.) ]

[ we'll do the refectory, since it's a stone's throw from the theater where they just were and is one of the least creepy places (comparably). he's still got his axe out instead of snapping it into the loop on the back of his belt, even though they're indoors and there's probably? not anything that's going to jump out at them here.

he does seem to position himself closer to the doors in comparison to todomatsu, like he's putting himself between possible threats after the discovery of aventurine this morning.

but he does scrub his face with his free hand for a moment, sweeping it through the bedhead of his spiked hair. ]

Not sure if any of us are gonna wanna stay over in the theater after this. Gods.

[ seated at the bar of the winery is alfyn! he's got a drink, yes, but it's only maybe had a few drinks taken from it as he sits there with a spread of herbs and a mason jar on the other side from the drink. he's absently grinding herbs with a mortar and pestle until he gets it to the consistency and color that he wants.

he just looks frustrated as he works, and even with his ponytail there's clearly ink that yells losing more people across the back of his neck. but when he hears steps coming down the stairs into the basement, he lifts his head up and looks to see who it is.

seeing todomatsu, he offers a wan, tired smile. ]

... come to take a load off?

[ i don't even know where the fuck they are but alfyn won't really hide from totty or geto during all of this, so the moment he sees him he just.

heads over, slumping down next to him so his arm leans into todomatsu's shoulder. his eyes are red-rimmed just like they were yesterday, but fresh, now, and he is so deeply unhappy. ]

... just when I thought the week couldn't get worse.

[ sitting by the pyre sometime after execution with a pear he brought over from AC island, looking tired as hell. ]

Can't believe we're supposed to have another month and a half of this.

[ alfyn is heading into the side rooms out of curiosity, because - well, investigate the areas that you're saddled with, and all that. when he sees totty, thinking it's lucas, he raises his hand up in greeting -

and then, they get slam dunked by memshare time. he looks less than thrilled about this as it starts to happen, the scabbed cut across his own left eye pinching as his expression tightens. NOT AGAIN... ]

[ maybe we're at the refectory again, idk. wherever it is todomatsu's just slumping down tiredly. ]

How the hell did so much happen in one week and why was it all terrible.

[ we're in the creepy aspen and dogwood forest because i want totty to SUFFER with weird trees. i could make him go through the spiders but maybe later.

alfyn pokes around the aspens, using his axe to shave off some of the bark and taking a few leaves as well to be stored for medicinal uses. he's also got the axe out in case he needs to lop anything in half, considering. ]

... I dunno how long we ought to really stick around places with weird trees, to be honest with you. [ this is the wryest joke in the world, as he eyeballs the dogwood from a distance. he has not spotted the fucking PERSON inside of it yet. ] Not as much of a fan as I might've been before gettin' here.

[ and then he turns back to the aspen he's fiddling with and lets out a gah! when an eyeball is right there, judging him. ]

[ back at the theater... just think though soon we'll have our own housing post and will never have to turn in pcs with each other again ]

Hey. Working on setting up the clinic?

[ here comes alfyn, after making sure camille isn't going to fucking die. totty gets to see him dragging one of the cots from the infirmary back with him, a deep frown on his face. he's mostly able to carry it without effort, it's just that it's a little long, so the bottom back corner draws a line in the ground that bumps every now and then. ]

... had a feelin' we'd be losin' Karlach. Just didn't think it'd be so soon.

[ said when he spots totty, before he hefts the cot up a bit more to adjust the balance so it'll drag less. ]

[ todomatsu has already gathered so many clothes here in the pavilion that he has to awkwardly shift them over to one arm to give alfyn a one-armed involuntary hug when he sees him.

still kind of embarrassing but he doesn't feel obligated to apologize for the personal space invasion in this case, at least. ]

Make sure you grab plenty of clothes this week, even if you don't care that much about variety! No repeating the mistakes of a few weeks ago, who knows if we'll ever see another store again after this.

[ you tell me where we are but he'll come find alfyn sometime after trial ]

[ after the big daddy debacle... ]

[ well he hasn't seen the laboratory yet so thus far this place really does just seem kind of quaint and nice. he's plucking some grapes from a vine near the border of the vineyard for a nice healthy snack and waves. ]

Hey.

Kind of sad to say goodbye to some of those places from last week, but it's also nice to have legitimately fresh air that hasn't been filtered through a deep sea ventilation system again.

[ well, it'll take a while, but alfyn can be found in the depths of the vineyard because it's so vast and quiet that he'll be able to just.

cry in peace for a while.

so that's how he's found, just. openly weeping, breath hitching and shoulders shaking and all. ]

[ hi totty. once the dust has settled and alfyn has healed, he's just going to come join him, whether he's seated or standing off in the void of post-god destroying. he's got two smoothies with him. one of them is green, the other... pink.

he offers the pink one to totty. ]

Good job completely' destroyin' that thing. Felt like the final blow.
