he's actually surprised himself with how upset he feels about pickles; before yesterday, he doesn't think he would have cared much at all, aside from thinking it was kind of fucked to murder a dog. but after being screwed over and shunned by everyone for almost two months — even if it didn't really happen — it had meant a lot to have pickles so firmly on his side after they reunited. ]

Mm... Aventurine-san was with all of us in the cabin the week before, and that didn't make a difference either. I wanted to hope it'd be different now that we have an idea of what to expect, but I guess it isn't going to be.
