[IT'S BEACH TIME. Lucas is out near the water, gazing as far out into the sea as he can look. He seems right at home in this environment, even if the island he's used to is much more temperate and less tropical-ish.

He'll also raise a hand in polite greeting when he spots Alfyn! Hewwo.]

A nice change of pace, don't you think?

Things are a lot more better, here, than they are at the village. Lots of stuff that's probably "too good to be true." So there's gonna be a catch, eventually.

That's a way of looking at things that I can't disagree with. Being able to maintain your spirits in the face of a trying time is a very valuable skill to have, don't you think?

Affection week really does pull so much weight and continues to do so as Lucas's response to the lil nudge is brief surprise, before he bumps right back.]

This is certainly the bright side in a very literal sense... I've heard more than one person talk about how grateful they are to see the sun again.
