We use salt mostly since we're a coastal city. But apparently, if you're in a pinch, drying it in ash works just as well. [ the odd things you learn from the alienage... (the things you learn while tagging with nhk on) ]

We're landlocked in Clearbrook, but traders come through plenty enough and we get merchants from all over 'cause of the rivers. There's nearby folks who will smoke their meat, too, which - gods, the turkey legs here are delicious in the same way.
