... It makes sense he'd get sick if he was around sick people all the time. But why would he just give up? He knew how to make the cure, couldn't he just ask someone to go get the stuff for it?

Different apothecary. I haven't seen the one that saved me since then, and Mr. Ogen... well, apparently the same guy came and saved him when he was still stupid and runnin' himself ragged years before I met him.

He... [ a huff ] He lost his wife, so I don't think he really felt like he had much to live for when he got that sick.
