SCAWWY 😱 tomi

In the earliest recordings of the Language of Flowers, foxgloves symbolized riddles, conundrums, and secrets, but by the Victorian era they had devolved into the more negative symbol of insincerity. Foxgloves give us digitalin, a glysoside used to treat heart disease, and this powerful plant has been used for heart tonics since Celtic and Roman times. However, the plant is poisonous if consumed directly, and can cause a number of health problems.
WKND 0, SATURDAY
Ah, shit, now it's gonna get all infected.
[ WE REALLY AREN'T IN A HYGENIC PLACE AFTER ALL ]

Hopefully not... there's some running water, if we need to clean stuff off, but not great still. I miss home and its clear waters already...
[ and then he looks around like HELLO, IS THERE ANYTHING THAT THEY CAN USE ]
no subject
Yeah, I half expect the water here to be full of tetanus or whatever.
no subject
Tetanus? [ lmao ] Most boiling will clear stuff up in water, but at least my flower crown had yarrow in it. It's good for astringents. Maybe someone has stuff for detoxifying water.

There's... not another way to do it? I mean, you wanna use the right berries, otherwise you're gonna be having the shits for days if not something worse. But that's how we apothecaries do things.
Which, the least they could've done is let me keep all my concoctions if they were gonna do this to us.
no subject
Pretty sure there's machines and such that make 'em now.
no subject
... this is gonna be like speakers, ain't it. We don't have machines for making medicine, that's why we got apothecaries with their medicines and clerics with their healing magic.
no subject
Oh, are you from somewhere more... [ slight pause. um. ] -- Rural?
[ completely ignoring the healing magic thing ]

Backwater as backwater can be, at least in the Riverlands. I'm kinda getting used to nobody knowing where that is, though.

...
Y'know, I guess that's fair. Riverlands, Cliftlands, Woodlands, Coastlands... Frostlands, Flatlands... man, we really went with a real dumb naming theme, huh.

Shucks, I grew up in Clearbrook, and it's got brooks and streams and rivers all around it. Not real creative. Figure Flamesgrace probably got named that because that's where the main cathedral of the Church of the Sacred Flame is.

WEEK 0, FRIDAY
[ hey man how's it going ]
W1, MONDAY
[ yaey beach :) ]

Man, you look way more in your element like this. [ said while he's undoing the straps on the sides of his boots, so that he can get them off. ]
no subject
Hell yeah I am. I couldn't stand one more day in that coldass spooky village. Now I don't have to worry about my feet freezing off.
W1, THURSDAY
Shit, dude, what happened to you?!
no subject
... you got the time for it tonight? [ the weakest joke, as he sits in the void working on cleaning his shoulder injury through the open collar of his shirt. it's not bloody it's just getting some salve put on it to numb the pain. ] I really... I dunno how it happened. I was just walkin' through the fog, headin' from the village to the island, and then I just wasn't in Scawwy anymore.
WEEK 3, MONDAY
Sure is a lot of tree names for some reason.

[ squinting around this city, hand on his axe but not drawn from the back of his belt because he doesn't trust anything after what happened to ishtar. ]
This place is so huge.
