[ not quite on the trail, but not quite in the camp, either, alfyn stares at the greenery all around them. it reminds him of home, like this - not a single building in sight, birds singing, bugs buzzing, wildlife abound. the spider-infested woods reminded him of home in some ways, too, especially considering the limitless chance of monsters, but...

Well, let's see what we can find, 'cause then I can tell you what to look for. Like... If you get lost and start gettin' hungry, and you don't have the energy to hunt or fish, you can find anythin' that looks like a blackberry or a raspberry. Or wild strawberries, they grow on the ground and just look like smaller strawberries - just don't taste like much, to be honest with you.

But don't eat anythin' that has a milky sap. [ nodding, as he thinks about everything he can advise. ] Luckily there's plenty of game here, and the food at the festival place, but if we can stock up on stuff... maybe we can make preserves or somethin' to make the bland food in the village taste better when we don't have this place anymore.
