the good news is rondo seems to be okay! he's doing a little better physically after his dip in the swamp, and when alfyn comes in, he puts on a smile for him, dipping his head in greeting. through the open slit in his collar, alfyn can see that the skin at his throat is blackened and cracked, and occasionally glows a sort of firey, eerie blue. ]
