The star-shaped glory of the snow speaks volumes. Across cultures, their timely appearance symbolizes hope and optimism, much like the snowdrop's association with resilience. It is, however, toxic to livestock and humans on its own, containing high quantities of HomoIsoFlavonoids which have anti-bacterial, anti-mutagenic, and anti-inflammatory properties.
