[ welcome to the cabin, unsettling and terrible in all of the ways a cabin in the woods so often can be. alfyn has changed and currently has his battle axe obscured under the back of his long, green vest, supported in its designated loop in the back of his belt as he carefully walks around. ]

[At least one of them is packing. Camille may have her clothes but she doesn't have anything materially useful on her, and that's starting to grate a little.

She keeps her steps ginger as she paces inwards, glancing around.]

If anything was too nice we might get attached to it. I kinda prefer it to be a little shitty, in that sense.

[ he grips his satchel strap in both hands for part of his trek, glancing over her way and shuffling a little further. ]

But, I dunno, this place is still better than the place with the coffins.

I'm not real keen on it, as a healer, yeah. Sort of feels like a threat? Or a "just in case the theater floor falls out from under your asses, here's this!"

[ humor to get you through a shitty situation. she does make him laugh, despite himself. ]

Honestly? I'd rather get the latter. Being bored to death sounds actually awful, and I grew up in the most backwater part of the Riverlands that there is. I know bored.

Oh for sure. There's no bored like country bored. [Camille smiles.] I'm a small town gal myself. Left as quick as I could for the city.

Nothing like small town, right? Love Clearbrook, despite all that, but it's a whole different thing getting out into the big, wide world and the huge cities.

You learn to make fun where you can in a way that the city folk don't really hold a candle to, though.
