Mmm, yeah. Gotta eat 'em before they get too brown. Could always sun-dry some of 'em. I'd say picklin' is an option, just, y'know, that kinda needs a brine and jars.

I'm used to dryin' herbs, so I can probably dry veggies. Just need somethin' smaller than my axe to cut 'em up, but maybe these houses have knives..? [ if we can cook in them ] Overseers should be able to get simple things like that.

[ he is cleaned up, thanks to everyone's help and daan's treatment, so he is all set! tired, still, but clearly glad to be with other people, looking up at ash where he's sat. still on the island! ]

[ she knows that it's kind of rude to come ask for information from someone who's hurt? but doesn't really know how to offer any comfort or help with the hurt part so she's just trying to brush past it awkwardly. ]

So... I wanted to know what happened. In more detail.

I was headin' over here, from the village, first thing this mornin'. Through the fog.

... but we all got lost in the fog, for a while. All apart, at first, 'til me and Tot found each other and then saw Geto and Pickles. In a big castletown with white stone walls. But the streets were empty and the people... they were scared, hidin'. Like I've seen folks be durin' wartime and plagues in Orsterra.

So there were other people there?

Yeah. I saw 'em closin' their shutters, stayin' off the streets - 'cause we couldn't tell at first, but the guards that were patrollin'... they were dead. Raised dead.

[ who could blame them? ]

... y'know, I don't think I could tell. It was so dark and dreary. Clouds were grey and everythin' was just ghostly.

Not everyone was dead, though. That's... something.

... there were some others that were dead, though. Some folks from here. Some we knew before the village. The lady responsible for it was controllin' 'em.

Cam, Marina, Gojo, Robin, and Rondo, for sure. Pretty sure I heard Mr. Daan and Kate, but I didn't see 'em - think Tot and Pickles did.

Somethin' else, I think..? It didn't feel like part of all this, at least not until we were leavin' and got some stuff in a weird room.

'cause I don't know how else it'd work, with just the four of us really there. But it wasn't... great.
